Meeting friends at Club Vic

Born at just one pound ten ounces, Taylor’s family didn’t think she would make it through her first few days after birth.

As well as being premature, she was diagnosed with meningitis septicaemia. At one point, Taylor’s family were told to say goodbye. However, she pulled through and defied all the odds. Now 14 years old, Taylor is a bubbly teenager. She has a range of conditions as a consequence of her hard first few months including epilepsy and dyspraxia.

BBC Children in Need fund a youth club called Club Vic that Taylor goes to and it offers a range of activities and a chance to socialise in a safe environment. Taylor says: “This is a really special place to me, to be able to come here and socialise with my friends”.
