BBC Children in Need 2016

The Limited Edition Pudsey Moneybox

The Lloyds Bank new limited edition Pudsey Moneybox is now on sale exclusively in branches nationwide for £5, with every penny going to BBC Children in Need.

Only 65,000 of these moneyboxes will be available in the lead up to this year’s televised Appeal on Friday 18 November. Owners of the Moneybox can customise it by drawing on the white board Pudsey is holding with the pen provided.

TV personality, Julia Bradbury, who unveiled the Pudsey Moneybox at the Lloyds Bank Wood Green branch with pupils from Osidge Primary School today, said “The new Pudsey Moneybox provides an adorable and fun way for the public to donate to BBC Children in Need. Thanks to Lloyds Bank, every penny of the £5 cost goes on to help make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in communities across the UK.”

In 2015, the Bank launched a limited edition Pudsey Moneybox for BBC Children in Need for the first time. This was an overwhelming success, with the public buying 57,000 of them raising £260,000 for the charity, resulting in the bank launching another this year. The Pudsey Moneybox is just one way that the Bank is helping to raise funds, with other initiatives including ‘The Spotacular’ schools fundraising campaign.

Stuart Beaver, Director, Partnership & Community Programmes, Lloyds Banking Group said: "We are really excited to be launching our new Pudsey Moneybox to raise funds to help disadvantaged children and young people. We hope the public embrace this year’s Pudsey Moneybox and through buying them help us raise even more money for BBC Children in Need.”
