Grayrigg CE School

13th November 2015 Happening in Northern England

Small school, big dreams

Grayrigg CE School, Kendal, has been getting behind Champions of Change this year by hosting a sponsored bounce, featuring special guest Pudsey Bear. Although only 23 pupils at the school, Year Five and Six pupils arranged for a bouncy castle to be set up in the playground and invited the local toddler group to join them in their sponsored bounce. The children also donated money to BBC Children in Need by wearing moustaches and will be celebrating the Appeal Day and how much they’ve raised in traditional mufti day outfits.

Mrs Cooper, a teacher at Grayrigg CE School said “We’re really looking forward to getting behind BBC Children in Need this year and putting our Champions of Change resources to good use. Our pupils are really excited about the opportunity to ‘own’ the fundraising activities.

“We’ve already downloaded the education resources and built them into our lesson plans and are looking forward to seeing the impact they will have on our pupil’s personal development and understanding of BBC Children in Need and the positive impact that every pound they raise will have on those less fortunate than themselves. Lloyds Bank’s support of Champions of Change will help us to raise even more money this year.”
