I'm really excited about the physical challenge to complete the 300 miles all the while raising a really great amount of money in support of BBC Children in Need. As a father of two young kids, anything that supports a great charity that helps young people is worth the effort! I'd describe my cycling experience as keen amateur, I commute to work a bit and have done the odd long ride, like the Prudential Ride London, but I certainly wouldn’t class myself as a strong cyclist, I’ve played rugby for most of my life and have a bit more of a frame to get up the hills than most! Slow and steady will be the way - although I do have a downhill advantage! I'm really looking forward to cycling with a great team. By the time we set off, the bulk of the fundraising will have been completed and we'll be able to enjoy the experience as a group - don’t forget to wave if you see us on our way north!
