The three teams came together for a challenging weekend of cycling.
In late June, the three teams all met in the Peak District for a weekend of training which saw all types of weather hit them. Hills, quiet country roads and beautiful scenery set them up perfectly for the challenge in September.
“What an amazing training weekend for the Tour de Pudsey! I was not quite ready for the 11,000ft of inclines we cycled in total over the weekend but I was spurred on by every penny being raised by so many colleagues in aid of BBC Children in Need. How I needed that motivation as at times, I really thought my legs would fall off after the Peak District greeted all 40 plus colleagues on the training weekend with hill after hill after hill to climb. It was a tough weekend but at the same time inspirational and whilst I know I have a bit more training to do, more fundraising activities ahead, I know everyone doing the Tour de Pudsey will complete it after the training weekend …. not least because of everyone’s fund raising.” said Bradley Green, one of the Tour de Pudsey riders.
